Frequently Asked Questions
What conditions do you treat?
Sciatica, Bulging Discs, Fibrosis, Nerve Entrapment, Spinal Stenosis, Degenerative Disc Disease, Non-specific Low Back Pain, Piriformis Syndrome, Muscle Strains, etc
Do you treat areas other than the back?
Although we specialize in treating the back because it is the most difficult, our doctors have years of experience treating the whole body. Please call if you have a question about another body region.
What is muscle fibrosis?
Muscle fibrosis, adhesion, scar tissue…all the same animal, just different names. When the body experiences trauma, injury or overuse it’s response is to protect that damaged tissue by forming fibrosis around it. This limits mobility, decreases strength and causes pain. Fibrosis is the most common problem and the most under-diagnosed.
Is the treatment painful?
Treatment varies, but it can be a little uncomfortable, often a 3-5 out of 10 on the pain scale. We never do more treatment than a patient desires.
Does treatment work?
Yes. Our patients report an average of 85% improvement following treatment.
Do you accept insurance?
No. Insurance companies are very slow to adopt new procedures. The treatment we provide is not covered.
But my insurance covers chiropractic.
It’s true, many insurance companies cover traditional chiropractic treatments, such as adjustments; however, the procedures we perform here are more advanced than traditional treatment and therefore, are not covered by any insurance.
Why is there a 4 month time frame?
Four months gives us enough time to see you for the number of visits you require, as well as allowing time for recovery and strengthening. We use a time frame rather than a set number of visits because we treat each person individually according to their diagnosis.
